Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30/07/2026 · Notice provided pursuant to Articles 13-14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)
1. Data Controller
Azarino — P.IVA 11558760960, REA MB 2612653. Contact to exercise your rights or for any question about this notice: helpazarino@gmail.com.
No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed as the mandatory conditions under Art. 37 of the GDPR do not apply.
2. What data we collect
Account data. We sign you in exclusively via Google: we receive first name, last name, email address (verified by Google) and profile picture. We never manage or store any password. If you enter it voluntarily, also your phone number (revealed to the other party only after a quote is accepted).
Request data. If you're a client: title, description, category, city/province and indicative budget of the request you post. If you enter a specific address, it is geolocated (see point 5) to show it on the site map.
Professional profile data. If you're a professional: bio, city/operating area, service categories, and — if you enter them — billing data (business name, VAT number, tax code, tax regime, PEC, SDI code, registered office address). Only for those who purchase a Pro/Business plan: payment data handled by PayPal (see point 4).
Uploaded images. Profile photo, portfolio photos (professionals), photos attached to a request or sent in chat: all go through a moderation queue before being visible to others, to check they don't contain direct contact info or inappropriate content.
Communications between users. Chat messages exchanged between client and professional regarding a request.
Technical and browsing data. IP address, browser type, pages visited — collected only if you consent to non-essential cookies (see Cookie policy).
3. Purposes and legal basis of processing
- Service delivery (account creation, posting requests, matching, chat, managing the professional profile) — legal basis: performance of a contract you are party to (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Tax and accounting obligations (invoicing the Premium subscription to professionals) — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Security and abuse prevention (rate limiting, CSRF protection, moderation of uploaded images) — legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller in ensuring a secure service (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Anonymous traffic statistics (Google Analytics) — legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), requested via the cookie banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, this data is not collected.
4. Who we share your data with
Your data may be shared with:
- Other users of the platform, to the extent necessary for the service: a professional sees the details of the request they choose to view; a client sees the professional's public profile and reviews.
- Google LLC — for authentication (Google Sign-In) and, only if you consent to cookies, for Google Analytics statistics. Google may also process data in the United States; the transfer is governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission.
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (Nominatim) — when we geocode an address (to show it on the map), the entered address is sent to the free Nominatim service to obtain geographic coordinates.
- Our hosting provider, with servers in Italy, for technical data storage.
- PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., only for professionals who purchase a Pro/Business plan or extra credits: payment happens entirely on PayPal's systems, which processes the data needed for the transaction (we never receive or store your card/account details). PayPal may process data in the United States too; the transfer is governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
We do not sell or transfer your data for third-party marketing purposes.
5. Geolocation
If you enter an address for a request, we convert it into geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) via the free OpenStreetMap Nominatim service, to show the request on the "Requests near you" map on the homepage. Only open requests with a geocoded address appear on the map.
6. Retention period
- Account data: until account deletion, which you can request at any time from the "My account" page — identifying data (name, email, photo, phone, bio) is anonymized immediately.
- Billing and accounting data: 10 years, as required by Italian civil and tax law (Art. 2220 Civil Code) — even after account deletion, if you had a paid subscription.
- Requests and chat messages: kept for the duration of the relationship and a reasonable period afterward, useful for handling any disputes.
- Warnings for violations (e.g. photos rejected in moderation): kept as the history of progressive account suspensions, even after the warning itself is no longer active.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR you can request at any time: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You can exercise these rights by writing to helpazarino@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe the processing of your data violates applicable law.
8. Minors
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Security
We adopt adequate technical measures to protect your data: encrypted HTTPS connections, CSRF attack protection, rate limiting on login attempts, and no direct password management (sign-in exclusively via Google).
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice over time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page indicates the current version. We encourage you to check it periodically.
